Orloj Snivců
koncert v kapli svatého Bernarda,

Koncert proběhl v rámci mezioborového sympozia HERMIT II - Letokruhy,
které se konalo v klášteře Plasy v západních Čechách v červnu a červenci 1993.
Sérii sympozií inicioval a řídil kurátor Miloš Vojtěchovský.

Atmosféra kláštera a kaple sv. Bernarda je nepřenosná a tato nahrávka je jen zvukovou stopou pro nás významného okamžiku a jedinečného setkání.
S Norskou hudebnicí Siri Austeen jsme se setkali až pár momentů před koncertem a jiný koncert s ní a Orlojem snivců již nikdy neproběhl, Po jejím odjezdu jsme ji už nikdy neviděli.
S kamarádem Američanem Michaelem Deliou v té době naše mnohaletá spolupráce teprve začínala.

"Přípravu, téma a průběh mezinárodního pracovního setkání HERMIT, které proběhlo v prostorách bývalého cisterciáckého kláštera Plasy od května do června 1992, ovlivnilo několik důležitých okolností. Za prvé to byl genius loci odlehlého klášterního komplexu v údolí řeky uprostřed lesů, s nevšední architekturou. Ať se příchozí pohybuje uvnitř mohutné budovy konventu, nebo po travnatých prostorách mezi kostelem Nanebevzetí Panny Marie, sýpkou s raně gotickou Královskou kaplí, prelaturou a hospodářskými budovami, všude vnímá napůl zneklidňující a uklidňující atmosféru.

Pro mechanický hodinový stroj Orloj snivců, je nejvhodnějším časem západ slunce
- prchavý okamžik laděný zvukem prostředí, charakterem hudby, pocity a náladami hudebníků, posluchačů a počasím.
Pro hraní a poslech Orloje je nezbytné ticho, vhodná akustika a prostředí.
Četné alikvotní tóny nástroje působí samy na sebe, mění a dotváří celkový zvuk, což hudebníky inspiruje a osvobozuje. Je to cesta zvukem.
Různé prvky, které byly dříve skryté ruku v ruce s tichem a které jsou součástí našich životů, pomalu vyplouvají na povrch."

Orloj snivců / The Horologe of Dreamers:
Concert in St. Bernard's Chapel,
Plasy Monastery, 11 June 1993.

The concert took place within the framework of the interdisciplinary symposium HERMIT II - Letokruhy, which took place in the monastery of Plasy in western Bohemia in June and July 1993. The series of symposia was initiated and directed by curator Miloš Vojtěchovský.

The atmosphere of the monastery and the chapel of St. Bernard is non-transferable and this recording is only a soundstep of a significant moment and a unique encounter.
We met the Norwegian musician Siri Austeen a few moments before the concert
and there was never another concert with her and the Orloj snivců, nor did we ever see her after she left. With the American friend Michael Delia, our collaboration of many years was just beginning at that time.

"Several important circumstances influenced the preparation, theme and course of the HERMIT international working meeting, which took place in the premises of the former Cistercian monastery of Plasy from May to June 1992. Firstly, there was the genius loci of the remote monastery complex in a river valley in the middle of forests, with its unusual architecture. Whether one moves inside the massive convent building or through the grassy spaces between the Church of the Assumption, the granary with its early Gothic Royal Chapel, the prelature and the outbuildings, one perceives a half-unsettling and calming atmosphere everywhere.

For the mechanical clockwork „clock of the dreamers“, the most appropriate time is sunset - a fleeting moment tuned by the sound, the character of the music, the feelings, emotions and moods of the musicians and listeners, and the weather.
Silence, suitable acoustics and environment are essential for playing and listening to Orloi. The numerous aliquots of the instrument act on themselves, changing and completing the overall sound, which inspires and liberates the musicians. It is a journey through sound.
Various elements that were previously hidden along with silence and that are part of our lives are slowly coming to the surface."
